On Day 10 of our RV trip to Cannon Beach, Oregon, Tom and I caravanned with our friends, Dennis and Wendy, from Lake Alva to Glacier National Park.
Sights along the way
We passed many beautiful lakes and rivers, including Swan River and Swan Lake as we drove north on Highway 83 from Lake Alva. Just north of Flathead Lake we took a slight detour into Kalispell to run errands.. and we couldn't resist a hearty lunch at Casa Mexico. From there it was a relatively short drive to West Glacier where we drove through a low underpass, crossed the Middle Fork of the Flathead River and entered Glacier National Park.
Dennis and Wendy's daughter, Val, had reserved us a beautiful group campsite at Apgar Campground. From there we could easily explore Lake McDonald and Apgar Village by foot. The lake was breathtaking with the beautiful Rocky Mountains to the north.
