South Padre Island, Texas or Bust Days 24 - 25

Days 24 & 25 of our RV trip to South Padre Island, Texas, were cold, wet and windy so we spent most of the time inside trying to keep warm and dry.

Highlights

Aly wasn't overly anxious to go out in the wind and rain but when a girl's gotta go, she's gotta go! And, once Aly was outside, she was ready to run. We had the beaches to ourselves, unlike the previous sunny weekend which attracted many people from the mainland. Aly was the only reason I left the camper on Saturday. Tom made it out to the gym during the day but we stayed in and watched movies Saturday night.

The skies finally cleared Sunday morning but it was still cold and windy. We, of course, took Aly to the nearby beach then we indulged in banana nut pancakes covered with Nutella. Tom and I made a quick trip to Walmart and enjoyed game night with our friends. Aly was happy to join us and acted as a foot warmer under the game table.

Challenges

The big challenge for the weekend was deciding whose turn it was to take Aly outside. After several cold gloomy days, we're all looking forward to more of the beautiful weather we've been enjoying for most of our visit to South Padre Island.
