I’m taking to the air this fall to meet my daughter, Sierra, in South America. We originally planned to visit Egypt but, given the current conditions in the Middle East, we changed course. Instead Sierra and I are exploring Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands.
Sierra headed down last week to attend an 8-day camp at Montanita Spanish School which offers an interesting combination of Spanish and Surf lessons. I’m flying down to catch up with her at the end of the camp.
This is likely the first time in decades that I'm traveling without a computer. Just a few hours into the trip, even with the aide of my new portable Bluetooth keyboard, I'm realizing the challenges of trying to blog without a laptop.
Aside from the obvious inconvenience, many of the tools I've been using in my blog posts, such as embedded Wanderlog itineraries and Google Map routes, appear to be unavailable with iOS. So, this should be an unpredictable series of blog posts in multiple ways!

Sierra and I created a long list of potential activities in our Wanderlog trip plan. We don’t yet know exactly what this trip has in store for us but with Sierra leading the way, it's sure to be an adventure!

Dynamic Expenses
Several of my friends have expressed interest in future trips to Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands. So, I thought it might be helpful if I track my expenses. I'm traveling relatively light and low budget. Not quite like a college student... but close!
