Kayaking on Dillon Reservoir

During our 3 nights of camping at Dillon Reservoir, we kayaked every day. Our waterfront campsite at Pine Cove Campground allowed us to leave our kayaks on the shore for easy access.

Tom and I tested out our new inflatable Hobie kayaks for the first time and were very happy with them! My iTrek 9 kayak also doubles as a stand-up paddle board. I wasn't willing to try the SUP but my son, Charley did. Tom's daughter, Lia, and grandson, Maddox, thoroughly enjoyed peddling (instead of paddling) across the lake. We peddled to a nearby island several times so that Aly could burn off some puppy energy. With all the time we've spent on the water this summer, she's become a master swimmer... and we've become master pedalers!
